Peoples Expressive Reaction to Grief can greatly vary from the expected to the totally unexpected.  Crying, numbness, silence, shock are normal reactions we see after grief.  Unexpected expressions of grief including laughing, fear, shaking, avoiding people, having a “melt down”, being “needy”, excessive drinking or drug taking.  A very strong and unexpected reaction to grief might be a decision to completely change lifestyle, friends, work, home, and sometimes country.

Natrum Mur:   When there is an inability to cry after a loss, and the person wants to be alone, or wants to go to the sea
Gelsemium:    When the body is shaking or dizzy after a grief
Pulsatilla:      When there is crying over a changing situation, like a child going to school or college

Lesser known remedies for he loss of a friend are Phosphorus & Rhus Tox.  Rose Quartz has been useful when there is grief over an unfulfilling relationship

Dosage in Acute Grief & When to Consult Your Homeopath
